Safari drivers are very important in relation to tourists’ safety and satisfaction. The services they offer are of great importance in forming the overall experience of a large segment of tourists who utilise their services.
According to the Permit Department of DTCM, tourism companies who provide the safari service are required to have a minimum number of five safari drivers as stipulated by law. The current licensing process for this category, provided by Road and Transport Authority (RTA), is completely focused on the technical competencies of this profession.
Considering the importance of this category as they have direct contact with visitors, it’s also important to focus on the customer-related behavioural competencies and ability to give the right information about Dubai.
From this perspective, the Safari Guide Training Program, built on a customised tour guide programme, will be the ideal solution to ensure that qualified safari drivers are working in the industry.
