Safari Driver Guide Award (SDGA)

Anyone who is licensed by RTA to drive a safari vehicle in the Emirates of Dubai and wants to work as a safari driver, should meet the requirements of the assessment criteria and learning outcomes and successfully complete the Dubai Desert Guide (SDGA) program.

The Dubai Desert Safari Guide (SDGA) provides training and basic tools in the English language to inspire the current expressions of fluent desert safari guides, presented professionally, optimism, inspiration, and strong simplicity in Dubai, adapting problem-solving techniques by providing them with knowledge of essential health and safety conditions related to Safari vehicle and the required equipment, general knowledge of Dubai and its desert environment, and some of the basic principles of good customer service, so that they will be able to interact with tourists and improve the level of services provided.

Training methods

Class learning/Online training, exams/assessments to mark them as complete in RTA system.

Safari Driver Guide Update (SDGU)

Language: Four languages ​​(English, Urdu, Hindi and Bengali).

Anyone wishing to renew his/her Desert Safari Driver License issued by RTA, should meet the requirements of the assessment criteria and learning outcomes, and must successfully complete the Dubai Desert (SDGU) update program.

The Dubai Desert Update (SDGU) program provides basic training and tools in four languages ​​to guide Safari who informs them of developments in Dubai and the UAE, interact with tourists and improve the level of services provided.
